Dear IPv6 folks,

In conjunction with OECD Ministerial Meeting, Global IPv6 Summit in Korea 2008 sponsored by KCC (The Korea Communications Commission), IPv6 Forum Korea and IPv6 Forum International will be held on June 18~19 at the COEX in Seoul, Korea.

The Internet has already grown and changed into an essential factor of our life. These changes also make us to change our way of thinking about communication into ubiquitous way. Now IPv6 is being considered as the core protocol in implementing the ubiquitous network. IPv6 will play a key role in realizing Ubiquitous Network, new IT services and eventually global economic growth.

The Global IPv6 Summit has established itself over the past 9 years as the largest conference on IPv6 industry in the world, and we successfully held all of 7 annual Global IPv6 Summit in Korea in the last seven years. The Global IPv6 Summit in Korea 2008, of which theme is “IPv6: Catalyzing the New Internet Economy”, will cover the issues of key technologies for IPv6 making a reality as well as deployment and transition of IPv6. The agenda is designed for the needs of ISP operators, equipment manufacturers, and policy planners who are planning to deploy IPv6. It consists of keynote speeches, technical sessions, international cooperation session, and industry sessions.

Over 30 distinguished speakers will reflect their views, and participants from major carriers, vendors, and solution providers from all over the world will come and provide ample opportunity for dialogue. They will report on their current status of IPv6 based deployment, convergence solutions, and business cases. Especially, this summit will focus on the emerging technologies such as mobile IPTV, mobile WiMAX, and mobility related issues. Furthermore, there will be several presentations related to recent trends in R&D and standards on IPv6 deployment from the view point of ISPs, IPv6 equipment vendors and service providers.
