According to recent OECD report, as Internet usage and penetration being sharply increased, it had
been allocated already more than 85% of IPv4 addresses. Some experts assume that IPv4 addresses
would be totally exhausted around 2011.
Hence many countries highlight the necessity of earlier transition of IPv4 to IPv6 and invest in R&D for
embodiment of IPv6 based networks early on.

On behalf of IPv6 Forum Korea and IPv6 communities, it is with much pleasure that I invite you on
upcoming Global IPv6 Summit 2009 Korea that is scheduled to take place on 9th and 10th July 2009
in COEX Auditorium, Seoul. Global IPv6 Summit Korea is co-organized with Korea Communications
Committee, International IPv6 Forum and IPv6 Forum Korea.

Global IPv6 Summit has monumented itself over the past decade as the largest IPv6 conference, and
IPv6 Forum Korea has contributed by hosting Korean Summit for nine consecutive years.
As the 9th annual event, I hope the Korean Summit to be the place where people will be able to meet
and share key issues, the latest technologies, experiences of deploying IPv6 as well. Especially,
Global IPv6 Summit Korea 2009 has theme ¡°Green ICT over IPv6¡±, and it will bring many distinguished
speakers presenting their ideas of Green trends in conjunction with IPv6.
Global IPv6 Summit 2009 Korea will also provide many opportunities to rev up IPv6 related business
for participants from verdors, carriers, solution providers, and ISPs from all over the world.

As the Chairman of IPv6 Forum Korea, I¡¯d like to welcome you to the 9th Global Summit in Seoul and
